New Year, New Kicks: January Week 1 Sneaker Releases

As we roll into the new year, there's a lot for sneakerheads to be excited about. In this first week of the year alone, there are a few incredible releases to watch out for. Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour are starting the year off right with these drops.

Releasing on January 3rd for $120, the special edition Nike Air Monarch IV "Snow Day" has a clean all-white upper, chrome swoosh, and icy outsole. Lined with sherpa, this drop is definitely appropriate for the season.

Steph Curry's signature shoes have definitely received their share of criticism. To be fair those Curry 2 lows were tragic, but each release since then has been a significant improvement. The Curry 6 "Fox Theater" releasing on January 4th for $130 is no different.

Adidas NMD R1 Mint

Like Ultra Boosts, NMDs have become incredibly popular in the last few years due to a great silhouette and better colorways. On January 1st, Adidas dropped a few new colorways of the NMD R1, including this pair in mint for $130. This pair uses flat laces, but you might prefer the original NMD rope laces. We recommend 30" for NMDs.

Ultra Boost "House Targaryen Dragons"

The stupidly popular Ultra Boost is now crossing over with Game of Thrones for a new colorway called "House Targaryen Dragons." Featuring a black primeknit upper, black cage and sole, and an orange and red toe, this pair is dropping on January 4th. If you're not feeling the plain black laces, consider swapping them for a pair of black Katakana laces. 41" is recommended for Ultra Boosts.

Air Force 1 Floral

Last up is another classic, the Air Force 1. If you don't want to be the billionth person with a pair of all-white or black Air Forces, consider picking up this pair of floral Air Force 1s that just dropped for $100. You can take these to the next level with any pair of matching flat laces.
